My Journey as a Volleyball Player
Playing volleyball is not only about who got the most points but it’s also about teamwork, team spirit, and sportsmanship. I played volleyball since middle school until now. Playing volleyball makes me learn many things, not only about game techniques but also how to play better.
The first time I tried playing volleyball, the results weren't very good. I made a lot of mistakes, from being in the wrong position to passing the ball incorrectly. My friends laughed at me when I hit the ball too hard and it went out of bounds. Although I was embarrassed, that experience made me want to learn more seriously so that I could play better in the future.
One day, I practiced volleyball with my friends on the school field. It was very hot that day, but we remained enthusiastic. The coach taught us how to serve and pass correctly. At first, I often hit the ball wrong, but I kept trying and didn't give up. After several practices, my serves started to improve. That day, I felt proud because my efforts were starting to show results.
A few days later, I was very happy because I was selected to participate in an inter-school volleyball competition. At first, I didn't think I would get the opportunity because my game wasn't very good back then. During the competition, we played with enthusiasm and good teamwork. Although in the end we only managed to come in second place, the experience was very valuable to me because I learned a lot.
From my experience playing volleyball, I learned that winning is not the only goal. The most important things are enthusiasm, teamwork, and the willingness to keep trying to improve. I hope to continue to grow and bring the positive spirit of volleyball into my daily life. (MK)
