Tips to Become a Powerful Mid-Laner in Mobile Legends

By: Benediktus Leopold

Do you still feel confused when playing mid lane heroes in Mobile Legends and often end up losing until you feel frustrated? Instead of releasing stress, playing the game sometimes increases it. To minimize those losses, especially when you are using mid lane heroes, I will explain three useful tips on how to play mid lane effectively so that you can win matches more easily and even carry your team.

Before the match begins, you must balance your team’s draft by counter-picking the enemy heroes to make the game easier. If the enemy picks tanky heroes with high durability, you should choose heroes with high burst damage and long-range attacks such as Lunox, Valir, or Lylia. On the contrary, if the enemy picks heroes with low HP, use heroes with strong crowd control and good mobility like Valentina or Selena. Don’t forget to adjust your build and emblem based on the enemy composition to help you perform better in duels.

I consider the mid-laner to be the heart of the team. Therefore, in the early game, you must farm EXP and gold as quickly as possible to carry the team later. Clear mid lane minions using your skills to speed up farming. I recommend asking your roamer to help clear the wave faster so that you can rotate to the side lanes to assist your teammates.

When entering the late game, and when both teams have equal strength, winning the Lord contest becomes the key to ending the match. That’s why you must focus on objectives such as Lord and turrets, and position yourself safely to avoid being picked off by the enemy. If the mid-laner helps secure the Lord, the victory is already within reach.

Overall, the mid-laner plays a very crucial role because they control the middle lane. Therefore, we must draft heroes wisely at the start, collect EXP and gold quickly, and rotate to support other lanes. Additionally, we must remain objective with Turtle and Lord to gain advantage over the enemy team. I hope these tips can help reduce your losses and improve your gameplay performance if followed correctly.
