The Influence of My Friendship on My Motivation to Study

When I was in high school, I realized how important my friendships were. They can influence my mindset and interest, especially in study. Since meeting my friends in high school, I’ve gained a strong motivation to study.

From childhood until junior high school, I had little interest or motivation to study. My friendships focused mainly on having fun. At school, we only thought about playing and after school, we would play and talk to pass the time. We never worried about grades, we just did our assignments to avoid punishment, and even when exams were coming up, I didn’t study.

That changed when I started high school. I gradually made new friends. These new friends were very ambitious about grades. They focused more on studying than playing. For them, grades were very important, and getting low grades made them sad.

My high school friends took studying seriously and thought about the future. Their attitude motivated me and made me want to be like them. So, I began to focus on improving my grades and became more active in class. In the second semester of 10th grade, my grades started to slowly improve. Now, grades and studying are very important to me. (S.A)
