Painting As Therapy

I started to paint when I was in kindergarten. I like painting because my sister bought a painting. That's when I started to like painting and I took a sketchbook, pencil and color paint, and started drawing like the picture my sister bought.


The reason I like to paint is because painting makes me happy and satisfied. After finishing the painting on canvas I feel satisfied with the painting I made. Creating a painting that is beautiful makes me confident with my own painting.

There was a time when I almost never painted, because at that time I was really busy working on my report which made me tired. To remove the tiredness I expressed it through painting and then it made me feel relaxed.


The moment really helped me reduce exhaustion. My expression all tiredness through canvas was empty. Now filled with paintings filled with various forms and colors. And that makes me happy and comfortable. By painting I can express feelings and thoughts that is difficult to express.

This also helps me to express negative emotions and can reduce my boredom. And l am so thankful to God who gives me talent to paint that can help me when l need to express exhaustion when l can't tell to somebody what l am feeling.


It feels so happy to see various colors on the canvas when l paint. The type of my painting is like abstrak which is random, strange shape, and free style, but has deep meaning.

Painting in abstrak style is really fun when we want to paint with our own willingness or expression, also to create a painting which has meaning that is difficult to tell to all people. ( MG )
