How to Make Creamy Jasuke
By: Valen Loviani
Jasuke is a dessert with a combination of corn, milk, and cheese. I like Jasuke because it has a sweet and savory taste from a combination of corn, cheese, and milk. I had experience helping my sister to make a Jasuke, so I know how the process works. and now I want to make it by myself.
First of all, we need some ingredients, such as 3 cobs of corn, block cheese, cornstarch, sweetened condensed milk, salted butter, and 500 ml full cream milk. Next we move to the method to process the corn. We can choose whether to steam or boil it. For myself, I choose to steam the corn for 10-15 minutes so the corn is not too watery.
After the corn is cooked, prepare a pan then add 500 ml of full cream milk, 100 gram sweetened condensed milk, 100 grams of grated block cheese and corn, then stir over low heat until boiling. On the other hand, prepare a small container then add 2 tablespoons of cornstarch and dissolve it in 50 ml of water. The Function of this cornstarch solution is to thicken the Jasuke sauce.
After that, we add the cornstarch solution and 1 tablespoon of salted butter, then stir briefly and turn off the stove. Serve Jasuke in a bowl and sprinkle with grated cheese or you can add additional toppings according to your taste. Jasuke is ready to eat!
