Asiang Coffee Shop

Pontianak city is known as the city of a thousand coffee shops. There are many coffee shops throughout this city with various types. But on one of the streets in this city called Merapi street, there is a famous coffee shop which has even become an icon of this city. That coffee shop is called Warung Kopi Asiang .

When I arrived at Asiang coffee shop, it was very crowded. There were barely any empty tables, so many people were there. Sometimes, I even had to sit at someone else’s table just for a coffee. Even when there’s an empty table, it’s quickly filled again. Almost every day, this coffee shop is always busy with visitors.

This coffee shop became famous because the owner always appeared serving coffee without wearing a shirt which is the main attraction for visitors who come. One of my favorite coffees is the milk coffee. The milk is flavorful but not too sweet and the coffee still has a hint of bitterness, making it a favorite. This coffee shop also sells various snacks, cakes, fried foods, and srikaya bread that can accompany coffee.
