TAMBOURINE DANCE

By: Rumenta Rohanna

I like dancing because when I was child I liked seeing people dancing at a place or in videos. They looked excited and cool. I started dancing since I was at 2nd grade of elementary school or eleven years ago.

When I was in elementary school I tried to dance at church and at that time there was a training for DANUR and I tried to propose myself to join the event.

When I was in junior high school, gradually I could get through difficult times by training my movement. I could remember the dance movements, which were difficult, quickly.

In high school I was ready and have the maturity in all aspects of the dance that I have done and mastered. At that time I intended to hold tambourine dance and search for new members. I wanted to present the dance at the church for the next generation.

Now, I am no longer active in dancing, but I’m happy to see the next generation continuing it. They keep the spirit alive, and I’m proud to have been part of its beginning.
