K-pop Is One Of My Favorite Music Genres

My topic is about how I came to like K-pop music. First of all, I want to explain what is K-pop? K-pop is a music genre that comes from South Korea, K-pop or Korean Music began in the 1990s. At first, it was only popular in Asia with groups like H.O.T, S.E.S, and TVXQ. This marked the beginning of the Korean wave also known as Hallyu.

I first heard K-pop when I was in elementary school in 2018 through BLACKPINK’s viral song ‘Ddu-Du Ddu-Du’. My attention was quickly caught by other major groups like BTS and TWICE, and since then I have started to explore and learn more about the genre. My interest in K-pop has continued to grow ever since.

There are several reasons why I like K-pop. First, I enjoy the artists and their unique music. Second, I find it interesting that they often combine Korean and English lyrics in their songs. And finally, I find the songs enjoyable to listen to and very catchy.

In my opinion, there are also some benefits to listening to K-pop music. First, we can learn the Korean language more deeply through K-pop songs, This, is an enjoyable way to learn new vocabulary and understand the meaning of their lyrics. Second, we can find inspiration from some of the powerful messages in K-Pop songs, especially themes that often focus on self love, pursuing dreams, and standing up to social pressures.

In my view, K-pop has also made a big impact on the world. For example, famous groups like BTS and BLACKPINK have sold out concert tickets around the world and collaborated with international artists. Through social media, K-pop fans from different countries can connect and support their idols together, showing how powerful this global community has become.

In conclusion, the reasons why I like K-pop are not only because of its unique, catchy, and enjoyable music, but also because of the positive impact it has had on me, such as inspiring me and helping me learn new things. (Willy)
