About “Chaikue”
I have a friend from Solo. She has never eaten chaikue before. After we wandered through I introduced her to chaikue. Then, she really likes to eat chaikue. But until now she doesn’t know how to make chaikue and what it’s based on. So, I would like to explain how to make chaikue.
I will start from the chaikue’s skin. Chaikue’s skin is made from rice flour & tapioca mixed with water and a little salt, then cooked over low heat. The second step is filling the chaikue, the most popular filling is jicama. Heat a little oil, Sauté the garlic until fragrant, then add the dried shrimp & stir briefly. Add the jicama and carrots. Season with salt, mushroom stock and pepper.
Maybe by writing this my friend will know a little about making chaikue and I hope one day I can make chaikue with her. Thank you to those of you who have read, I hope you guys also know more about my friend’s favourite food. (Mayy)
