My Reading Journey

Have you ever finished a book? If you never finished at least 1 book, I challenge you to finish it. So here I am, the person who didn't like reading books, to the person who loves books. Right now, I will tell you guys about my reading journey. I hope you can be inspired to read a book, after reading my journey.

When I was in Elementary School, I didn’t like reading, until I had a best friend, whose mother is a library staff. Because of that, I had a new mundane routine. After school, I would go to the library, spend my time to accompany my friend and I started to read light books, like stories of legend or Wikipedia Animation.

Because of that small mundane routine, I became a person who has a big interest in books, especially novels. When I started my Junior High School, I started reaching for and reading novels in my school library. I usually read horror and romance genres and I can spend all my day just reading a book.

This habit gives positive impacts for myself, such as I know so many new vocabularies and I've got a lot of knowledge. One new skill unlocked is, I can quickly remember something. I think that’s because I always try to remember the plot twist of the books I’ve read. 

And when I entered Senior High School, I almost read every novel in my school library. So, I decided to buy some books at Gramedia, like Tentang Kamu, Hujan, Bandung After Rain, If We Make It Through December, Malioboro at Midnight, et cetera. 

My favorite author is Tere Liye, I think all his novels are very good. When I read it, I can feel the atmosphere in the novel, like I was the main character in that story. Even though I'm not yet reading all his novels, I have a wishlist to buy all his novels, especially Bulan, Matahari, Bintang series. Because that’s the most popular series of his novels.
